Our next comprehension strategy is cause & effect. We have been working on a variety of activities to help the students grasp this concept.
We completed this poster together. We took an event fighting and looked at what might cause it and what the effects might be.
We also did a verbal activity where students told a story using cause & effect.
We are using a number of picture books to help readers grasp this concept. Including.... Bad Dog, Marley; The Lorax; and several books by author Robert Munsch.
